02Are these right for a beginner?
Yes. A softer reed takes less air and less embouchure control, so notes speak sooner. Move up in strength once the sound starts thinning out or going wild in the upper register.
03Will these work on a bass clarinet?
No. Bass clarinet reeds are considerably larger. These are cut for the Bb soprano clarinet.
04How long will a box last?
Depends on practice hours and how well you rotate and dry them. Rotating four or five reeds instead of playing one to death stretches a box out considerably.
