Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built for high-speed electric-guitar work, the Rhoads RR24 Mirror combines a mirror top with a neck-through nyatoh body and an oiled maple/walnut neck. Its compound ebony fingerboard and 24 jumbo stainless-steel frets give players room to move from lower-position chord work into upper-register leads. Seymour Duncan Distortion humbuckers cover the neck and bridge positions, while the recessed Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo adds vibrato, dives, and flutter-style effects with tuning stability under heavy tremolo use.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Metal rehearsals and stage sets that call for fast lead passages, distorted rhythm work, and expressive tremolo effects.
- Players moving between lower-position chords and upper-register solo lines on a 24-fret compound-radius fingerboard.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who need a fixed-bridge guitar rather than a recessed Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo system.
