Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The RGR762AHBF is a Japanese-made RG Prestige with seven strings, a fixed Gibraltar Standard III-7 bridge, and a thin Wizard-7 bolt-on neck. Its ash body, Weathered Black satin finish, bound rosewood board, and 24 jumbo frets form a focused extended-range instrument for intricate rhythm and lead parts. Two DiMarzio PAF 7 humbuckers connect through a five-way selector plus master volume and tone controls, keeping the route between pickup sounds straightforward. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners are intended to maintain tuning stability and make string changes faster.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Extended-range metal and progressive arrangements using low-string rhythm alongside higher-register lead passages
- Rehearsal, recording, and live work where faster string changes are useful
- Technical seven-string parts involving wide stretches, chord shapes, and rapid single-note lines
