One per direction. A cable from your keyboard's Out to the module's In sends notes one way. Add a second, In to Out, if the module needs to send data back.
02Will this work with my USB keyboard?
Only if the keyboard has a 5-pin MIDI DIN port. Many USB controllers do not. Check the back panel for round five-hole jacks.
03Can I use a MIDI cable for audio?
No. MIDI carries performance data, not sound. The receiving device generates the audio, which you route out separately with audio cables.
04Is 3 feet long enough?
Fine for gear stacked or sitting adjacent. If your keyboard is on a stand and the interface is on a desk, measure the actual path first.
