The Korena take
Guild’s F-412E Standard is a USA-made F-Jumbo 12-string acoustic-electric built around a solid Sitka spruce top, solid African mahogany back and sides, and forward-shifted scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing. That combination is described as broad, warm, and defined through closely voiced chords. The 1.88-inch nut width gives the paired courses room at the nut, while the C-profile mahogany neck and 25.625-inch scale shape the playing layout. LR Baggs Element VTC electronics add soundhole-accessible volume and tone control for amplified sets.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Solo performances using 12-string parts with looping, accompaniment, or open chord voicings.
- Ensemble arrangements where a wide, defined acoustic part needs amplified routing.
- Recording or live work that benefits from soundhole-accessible volume and tone controls.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who need a six-string layout rather than a 12-string instrument.
