Simply insert each string through the string hole, pull it to tension by hand and begin tuning. As you start turning the knob, only the locking cam in the string post rotates. Once the string is locked in tune, the string post starts turning, allowing you to quickly bring each string to pitch in less than one full rotation. With an 18:1 gear ratio, you'll stay in tune through even the most intense practice sessions and performances.
