Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
In Havana Burst, the Broadkaster LX pairs a laminated flamed maple semi-hollow body with a maple-and-spruce Channel Core center block. It is built for faster attack, pronounced mids, and a clear, controlled response when played clean or under gain. Pro Twin Six humbuckers feed a three-way selector, with individual pickup volumes, master volume, and master tone for direct adjustments from the guitar. The maple set neck has an ebony fingerboard and 24.6-inch scale, while the string-thru Bigsby B7GP and Gotoh locking tuners support expressive vibrato use and quicker string changes.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Stage-volume semi-hollow work needing focused response under gain and access to the higher frets.
- Players who move between neck, bridge, and combined humbucker voices during rehearsal or performance.
- Vibrato-based parts where a string-thru Bigsby and locking tuners suit the guitar’s hardware layout.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this is a right-handed instrument.
