GibsonElev8 Humbucker Bridge Pickup - Double Black

Since inventing the original Patent Applied For humbucking pickup in 1955, Gibson has continued to refine the voice of the humbucker through new materials, winding techniques and evolving designs. The Gibson Elev8 humbucker bridge pickup marks the next chapter in that legacy as the first Gibson humbucker to feature a powerful Alnico 8 magnet. Combined with custom-gauge wire, this innovative design delivers exceptional output, tight low-end response and remarkable clarity, giving modern players the power and precision demanded by today's high-gain styles without sacrificing the articulation and dynamic control that define great Gibson pickups. Alnico 8 Design for Powerful Modern Tone Engineered for players who demand both power and precision, the Elev8 humbucker bridge pickup pairs its Alnico 8 magnet with custom-gauge wire to produce a focused voice that remains articulate even under heavy distortion. Wax potting helps minimize unwanted microphonic feedback at higher gain levels, while 4-conductor wiring supports a variety of switching options, including coil splitting, for expanded tonal flexibility. With its 10k output and traditional Gibson bridge spacing, the Elev8 delivers the output, bite and articulation modern guitarists need for tight, aggressive rhythm work, palm-muted precision and cutting lead tones.
