Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The left-handed 1957 Les Paul Special Reissue keeps the design focused: a one-piece solid mahogany body, solid mahogany Chunky C neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard, and a wraparound bridge and tailpiece. Its Custom Soapbar P90 pickups are the center of the instrument’s voice, described as delivering a thick, meaty sound. With 22 frets, a 24.75-inch scale, and TV Yellow finish, it is a direct, vintage-style Special for players who prefer a full-feeling neck.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Left-handed players who want a solid-mahogany Special with Custom Soapbar P90 pickups.
- Players who prefer the substantial feel of a Chunky C-shape neck.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players seeking a slim neck taper instead of a Chunky C profile.
