Strong match

Who this is for

  • Replacing a cracked ring after a knock or a drop
  • Switching black rings to cream for a vintage look
  • Matching a new bridge pickup to existing hardware

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Neck position — that ring is a different height
  • Guitars with direct-mounted or pickguard-mounted pickups
  • Single-coil or P-90 sized pickups

What matters in use

The specifications, translated

Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.

Detail 01

3/8" height

The taller of the two standard rings. It sits at the bridge where the neck angle raises the strings further from the body.

Detail 02

Bridge position

Bridge and neck rings differ in height and arch. Fitting the wrong one leaves the pickup too low or too high.

Detail 03

Cream color

Cream is warmer than white and matches aged pickup bobbins and binding better than a bright white ring.

Detail 04

Arched base

Underside is curved to sit flush on an arched top. On a flat-top guitar it may rock at the edges.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 01Measure your old ring — 3/8" bridge and neck rings are not interchangeable
  2. 02Ring only — no screws, springs, or pickup included
  3. 03You must unstring and unscrew the pickup to swap the ring

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01How do I know if I need 3/8" or the shorter one?

Measure the height of your existing ring at its tallest point. On an arched-top guitar with a neck angle, the bridge ring is typically the taller 3/8" size.

02Will cream match my pickup covers?

Cream matches aged-white bobbins and binding closely. Against bright white plastic the difference is visible, so compare against your own parts.

03Do I need to remove the strings?

Yes, or at least loosen them fully. The pickup has to come out of the cavity to free the ring, and the wire needs slack.

04Does this fit any humbucker?

It fits standard humbucker-sized pickups with the usual mounting tab spacing. It will not fit single-coil or P-90 pickups.
