02Will this fit an 8-lug snare?
No. It is drilled for ten tension rods. Fitting it to an 8-lug drum leaves holes unsupported and puts the tuning off.
03Do I need to change my snare-side hoop too?
No. You can run a die-cast batter hoop over a flanged snare-side hoop. Most of the tonal change comes from the batter side anyway.
04Will it work on a non-Gibraltar snare?
