No. The system is active with onboard controls, so it drives a DI or amp input directly. A preamp pedal is optional for EQ shaping.
02How do I know if I need narrow or wide?
Measure the saddle slot on your guitar. Narrow fits the thinner slots common on many steel-strings. If the slot is wider, the narrow element will not sit properly.
03Will the internal mic feed back on stage?
It can at high volume. Roll the blend toward the undersaddle pickup as stage volume rises and keep the guitar out of the monitor's path.
04Can I install it myself?
Only with luthier-level comfort. It involves an endpin jack hole, seating the undersaddle element, and mounting hardware inside the body.
