01Do I need to soak it first?
No. Wipe it off, mount it, play. There is nothing to break in and nothing to keep wet between sessions.
02How long does one reed last?
Much longer than cane under the same use. Replace it when the tip chips or the response turns soft and unfocused.
03Will it fit my clarinet?
It is cut for bass clarinet mouthpieces only. Not for Bb or A soprano clarinet, alto clarinet, contrabass, or saxophone.
04Is 2.5 too soft for me?
If you play around 2.5 to 3 cane on a medium facing, it should feel familiar. On a very open mouthpiece it may feel loose.
