The Korena take
Here, the Player II Modified Stratocaster uses a 2-point synchronized tremolo rather than a locking tremolo system. Its HSS layout combines a Player II Modified bridge humbucker with Player II Noiseless Strat pickups at the middle and neck. The bridge tone control pulls up to coil-split the humbucker, while the 5-position blade switch handles pickup selection. A satin-finished maple Modern C neck, rolled-edge maple fingerboard, 9.5-inch radius, and 22 medium-jumbo frets define the playing surface.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Live or studio setups needing five pickup positions, coil splitting, and a 2-point tremolo.
- Players who want bridge humbucker output alongside Noiseless Strat middle and neck pickups.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players specifically seeking a Floyd Rose or other double-locking tremolo system.
