1/8
Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Fender’s Player II Jazz Bass in Cactus Gray pairs an alder body with two Player Series Alnico V Jazz Bass single-coil pickups and passive controls. Separate volume controls for the middle and bridge pickups let you blend the two voices, with a master tone control for further adjustment. The bolt-on maple neck has a Modern C profile, satin urethane finish, rolled-edge maple fingerboard, 9.5-inch radius and 20 medium-jumbo frets. It is a right-handed, 34-inch-scale four-string Jazz Bass with a standard four-saddle bridge.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Stage, studio and practice use where blending two single-coil pickup volumes is part of the workflow.
- Bassists seeking a 34-inch-scale Jazz Bass with a narrow 1.5-inch nut width.
- Players who prefer passive controls with separate pickup volumes and one master tone control.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this bass is specified as right handed.
