02Do I need new pots and a capacitor?
Not required. The existing harness will work, though many players replace aging pots at the same time since the guitar is already open.
03Is the bridge pickup very bright?
It is bright by design, that being the Tele character. Amp tone controls and your pick attack tame it if it is too cutting.
04Will these hum?
Yes. Single-coils hum unless both are selected in the middle position. Move away from fluorescent lights and screens to reduce it.
