The Fender Custom Shop Red Hot Telecaster pickup set turns up the heat on one of Fender's most iconic pickup designs, offering the output and midrange push needed for thicker, more saturated tones without sacrificing the unmistakable clarity and bite of a classic Telecaster. Overwound for bold, amp-driving performance, the Red Hot Tele set pairs a powerful Alnico V bridge pickup with a warm, expressive Alnico 2 neck pickup, creating a versatile combination that balances aggressive attack with articulate cleans. The result is a Custom Shop pickup set that moves effortlessly from classic Tele twang to rich overdrive with the touch sensitivity and definition players expect from Fender. Overwound Design for Powerful Telecaster Performance The Red Hot Telecater set's carefully voiced overwind adds output and midrange presence while preserving the clarity and responsiveness that define great Tele pickups. An Alnico V bridge pickup delivers focused attack and dynamic punch to drive an amp with greater authority, while the Alnico 2 neck pickup provides a smoother attack and warm, expressive midrange for balanced performance across both pickup positions. Enamel-coated magnet wire further enhances the pickups' muscular voice, while flush-mount pole pieces promote even string-to-string response. Traditional fiber bobbins, period-correct cloth-covered lead wire and wax-potted construction complete the Red Hot Telecaster pickup set, featuring the meticulous attention to detail expected from the Fender Custom Shop.
