Epoxy-coated fretless rosewood fingerboard
The playing surface is fretless and finished with an epoxy coating.

Independent shopping perspective
Built as a Fender Custom Shop tribute to Jaco Pastorius' distressed fretless Jazz Bass, this four-string pairs a select alder body with a specially shaped maple neck and an epoxy-coated rosewood fingerboard. Two Custom '60s Jazz Bass single-coils feed separate volume controls and a master tone control, giving you a straightforward way to balance the pickups from the instrument. Its sunburst Relic treatment and knurled chrome Precision Bass knobs complete the deliberately worn visual approach.
