FenderCalifornia Deluxe Newporter CE Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Natural

The Fender California Deluxe Newporter CE strikes an inviting balance between comfort, versatility and projection. Pairing the balanced response of an auditorium body with the bold personality of the California Series, it delivers an acoustic voice that feels equally at home accompanying vocals, exploring fingerstyle arrangements or driving a full band mix. A solid Sitka spruce top reinforced by scalloped X-bracing provides the clarity, responsiveness and dynamic range needed to adapt to a wide variety of playing styles, while mahogany back and sides add warmth and balance. The cutaway body design offers comfortable access to upper-register frets, while a slim C-shaped mahogany neck promotes a familiar, easy-playing feel. Outfitted with a Fishman CD-1 preamp system and signature Fender details like its iconic 6-in-line headstock, the California Deluxe Newporter CE is ready for everything from intimate songwriting sessions and relaxed living room rehearsals to plugged-in live performance. Solid Sitka Spruce Top and Auditorium Body for Balanced Acoustic Performance The California Deluxe Newporter CE occupies a sweet spot between the focused comfort of a smaller acoustic and the projection of a larger-bodied instrument. Its solid Sitka spruce top and scalloped X-bracing work together to produce a lively, responsive voice that reacts naturally to changes in attack and dynamics. Mahogany back and sides contribute warmth and fullness, helping chords bloom with pleasing richness while maintaining clear note separation. The auditorium body shape further reinforces the guitar's balanced character, delivering enough projection for confident strumming while retaining the articulation and control that fingerstyle players appreciate. Slim C Mahogany Neck and Walnut Fingerboard for a Fast, Effortless Feel The Newporter CE is designed to encourage exploration across the entire fingerboard. Its slim C-shaped mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, creating a relaxed feel that adapts easily to a variety of playing styles. The 25.5" scale length provides strong note definition and a familiar acoustic response, while the walnut fingerboard offers a smooth, natural playing surface beneath the fingers. A satin urethane finish keeps position shifts feeling fluid and effortless, while the cutaway body design removes barriers to upper-register playing, making melodic passages and more adventurous voicings feel comfortably within reach. Fishman CD-1 Electronics for Confident Stage and Studio Performance Whether performing through a PA system, recording direct or rehearsing through an acoustic amplifier, the Fishman CD-1 preamp system delivers a natural representation of the Newporter CE's acoustic voice. Dedicated volume, bass and treble controls allow for quick adjustments in changing environments, while an onboard tuner and phase control add valuable performance-focused functionality. Designed to preserve the guitar's balance and responsiveness, the system provides dependable amplified tone without losing the character that defines the instrument unplugged. Distinctive Fender Design With Everyday Reliability The Newporter CE approaches acoustic guitar design from a distinctly Fender perspective. Its signature 6-in-line headstock immediately separates it from more traditional acoustic silhouettes, while details like the tortoiseshell pickguard and pearloid rosette contribute to its bold California Series identity. Sealed die-cast tuning machines with split shafts provide smooth, dependable tuning performance, while the Micarta nut and saddle and Modern Viking bridge help ensure consistent response and reliable playability. The result is an instrument that feels purpose-built, modern and unmistakably Fender. An Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Built for Versatile Modern Performance The Fender California Deluxe Newporter CE brings together balanced acoustic tone, comfortable playability and stage-ready performance in a design built to adapt. Its responsive construction, approachable feel and flexible voice make it equally rewarding whether accompanying a singer-songwriter, exploring intricate fingerstyle arrangements or stepping into a full-band setting. For players seeking a guitar that can move effortlessly between musical roles while maintaining a strong sense of personality, the Newporter CE strikes a compelling balance.
