01Will this work on a Strat?
Electrically yes, but Strat single-coils are usually wired with 250K pots. A 500K will make the guitar noticeably brighter. That's a tone choice, not a fault.
02Do I need a soldering iron?
Yes. The pot has to be wired into the existing circuit, including a ground connection to the back of the pot casing. There is no solderless option.
03Does it come with a knob?
No. It's the potentiometer only. Your existing knob will transfer if the shaft type matches.
04What does low friction actually change?
How the knob feels. It takes less force to turn, which makes volume swells and quick cleanups easier to do with your picking hand while still playing.
