No. The oil layer between plies does the muffling. Adding tape on top usually chokes the drum to the point of losing pitch.
02Can I use it on the bottom of the tom?
It's built as a batter head for the strike side. Resonant heads are thinner by design, so putting this underneath will deaden the drum heavily.
03Will it fit a 10-inch tom?
No. Drum heads are size-specific. An 8" head only fits an 8" drum.
04Is it durable for hard hitting?
