ESPLTD Alexi Laiho Sawtooth SE 20th Anniversary Electric Guitar - Black with White Pinstripes

Few guitarists left a visual and musical imprint as unmistakable as Alexi Laiho and this special-edition electric guitar captures that identity with clarity and intent. The ESP LTD Alexi Laiho Sawtooth SE 20th Anniversary electric guitar revisits one of Alexi’s earliest and most recognizable offset V designs, finished in black with sharp white pinstripes that mirror his original signature models. Built with neck-thru-body construction at a 25.5" scale length, this guitar is engineered for speed, sustain and precision, reflecting the neoclassical intensity and relentless aggression that defined the late guitarist’s playing with Children of Bodom. A Focused Single-Pickup Voice for Cutting Through The Sawtooth SE is equipped with a single EMG HZ F-H2 passive humbucker wired to a direct volume-only control layout. This pickup delivers a tight low end, strong midrange bite and clear high-frequency attack, making it well suited for high-gain rhythm work and fast, articulate lead playing. The simplified electronics keep the signal path immediate and responsive, staying true to Alexi’s preference for clarity and punch at extreme speeds. Floyd Rose 1000 Bridge Built for Aggressive Technique A double-locking Floyd Rose 1000 bridge anchors the Sawtooth SE, providing the tuning stability required for aggressive vibrato, dive bombs and wide pitch manipulation. Designed for precision and durability, the bridge maintains accurate intonation and smooth operation under heavy use, supporting the expressive whammy techniques that were central to Alexi’s playing style. Neck and Fingerboard Optimized for Speed The thin U-shaped three-piece maple neck is built for fast, fluid movement across the fretboard and finished in satin for an exceptionally smooth, non-sticky feel. A Macassar ebony fingerboard carries 24 extra-jumbo frets and is scalloped from frets 19–24, allowing for enhanced control, effortless bends and precise vibrato in the upper register. Sawtooth-shaped pearloid inlays reinforce the guitar’s identity while keeping position markers clear under stage lighting. Neck-Thru Construction With Signature Visual Details Neck-thru-body construction pairs alder body wings with the three-piece maple neck, increasing sustain and resonance while maintaining structural strength. The reverse side of the guitar features a matching white pinstripe design, an incredibly fast satin-finished neck and the iconic COBHC logo, reinforcing its status as a true Alexi Laiho signature model. Chrome hardware and precise Grover tuners complete the build with reliable performance and understated contrast. A Special-Edition Electric Guitar Honoring Alexi Laiho The ESP LTD Alexi Laiho Sawtooth SE 20th Anniversary electric guitar is built for players who connect with Alexi’s legacy of speed, precision and uncompromising tone. From its single-pickup configuration and scalloped fingerboard to its Floyd Rose bridge and neck-thru construction, every element serves performance first. Whether on stage or in the studio, this ESP electric guitar delivers the control, sustain and visual impact expected from a tribute to one of metal’s most influential guitarists.
