Ernie Ball Music ManJohn Petrucci Majesty Premium Select Electric Guitar - Purple Nebula II

Designed for uncompromising precision, speed and tonal flexibility, the Ernie Ball Music Man Majesty Premium Select represents the latest evolution of John Petrucci’s signature performance platform. As a founding member of progressive metal pioneers Dream Theater, John is renowned for combining extraordinary technical control with deeply expressive musicality—qualities reflected throughout the Majesty’s design. At the heart of this Premium Select model is John’s preferred tonewood combination: a Honduran mahogany through-neck with alder body wings and a thick maple top, refined through years of touring and recording to deliver exceptional sustain, articulation and dynamic response. A fast ebony fingerboard with stainless steel frets complements the guitar’s highly responsive feel, while DiMarzio Rainmaker and Dreamcatcher humbuckers provide powerful output and exceptional note clarity under gain. Combined with a piezo-equipped floating tremolo and advanced onboard electronics, the Majesty Premium Select is built to handle everything from intricate technical passages to soaring lead work and expansive clean textures with total authority. Mahogany Through-Neck With Alder Wings and Maple Top At the core of the Majesty Premium Select is a Honduran mahogany through-neck paired with alder body wings and a thick maple top. This carefully refined construction balances warmth, sustain and low-end authority with the articulation and attack needed for highly detailed playing styles. The neck-through architecture enhances resonance and creates a seamless feel across the entire instrument, while the maple top adds clarity and definition that help complex chords, fast runs and layered gain tones remain focused and expressive. Together, these tonewoods create the dynamic, harmonically rich foundation that has become central to John’s signature sound. Powerful DiMarzio Pickups and Advanced Active Electronics Developed specifically for John Petrucci’s Majesty platform, the DiMarzio Rainmaker neck and Dreamcatcher bridge pickups deliver exceptional sensitivity, dynamic range and tonal balance. The Dreamcatcher focuses power into the low mids for aggressive rhythm tones that cut clearly through dense mixes without harsh highs or muddy lows, while the Rainmaker blends warmth, openness and articulation for expressive lead work and clean passages. A custom Music Man active preamp expands the Majesty’s tonal flexibility with a 20+dB onboard gain boost and custom pickup switching configurations designed for highly responsive modern performance. Integrated piezo electronics further expand the instrument’s range, adding convincing acoustic-style textures alongside its powerful magnetic pickup tones. Ultrafast Slim C Neck With Smooth Ebony Fingerboard The Majesty Premium Select is built for fluid, highly technical playing with a slim C neck profile, 24 stainless steel frets and a 17" ebony fingerboard radius that feels fast, smooth and exceptionally controlled. Stainless steel frets provide long-term durability and a slick playing surface ideal for fast articulation and wide bends, while the ebony fingerboard contributes tight response and crisp note attack. Glow-in-the-dark side dots improve visibility on dark stages, and the sculpted neck-through design gives players effortless access across the entire 25.5" scale length. Floating Tremolo With Piezo Saddles and Stereo Output Flexibility A custom John Petrucci Music Man floating tremolo made from hardened steel delivers smooth action, tuning stability and a highly responsive feel under aggressive playing. Integrated Fishman Powerbridge piezo saddles add convincing acoustic-style textures directly into the instrument, while mono and stereo output options allow players to route magnetic and piezo signals independently for expanded live and studio setups. Schaller locking tuners further enhance tuning reliability, and the Majesty’s sleek ergonomic design keeps the instrument balanced and comfortable through extended sessions and demanding performances. A Precision-Crafted Instrument Built for a Progressive Metal Legend As the guitarist and creative force behind Dream Theater, John Petrucci has spent decades pushing the boundaries of technical guitar playing, progressive composition and modern metal tone. The Ernie Ball Music Man Majesty Premium Select reflects that philosophy through its carefully voiced tonewood platform, advanced electronics and highly responsive performance design. From its articulate neck-through construction and expressive DiMarzio pickups to its piezo versatility and fast-playing ebony fingerboard, every aspect of the instrument is engineered to deliver exceptional clarity, control and musical range. Built for players who demand speed, articulation and expressive flexibility in equal measure, the Premium Select stands as a striking evolution of John’s iconic Majesty platform.
