01Will these fit a short-scale bass?
No. These are cut for long-scale, 34" instruments. On a short-scale bass the taper and winding land in the wrong place at the nut and saddle.
02How long do coated strings actually last?
The coating keeps sweat and skin oil out of the windings, so they hold their brightness much longer than uncoated sets. How long depends on how much you play and how acidic your hands are.
03Is super light too floppy?
For standard E tuning it's fine and easier on the hands. If you tune down to D or lower, go up a gauge instead.
