01How do I know if I need extra long scale?
Measure from nut to bridge saddle. Around 34 inches is standard long scale; 35 inches and up generally needs extra long. Also check whether your bass is string-through-body, which adds length.
02Are these good for slap?
Light/medium roundwounds work for slap. Nickel-plated steel is warmer than stainless, so you get less of the aggressive metallic crack some slap players want.
03Does the coating dull the tone?
NANOWEB is thin and stays close to uncoated feel and sound when new. The tradeoff is that the fresh-string zing lasts much longer than an uncoated set.
