DWCollector's Series Satin Black Over Brass Snare Drum With Black Nickel Hardware 13 x 7 in.

The DW Collectors Series satin black over brass snare drum gives you a powerful, versatile snare with a classic brass tone and modern style. Featuring a thin 1 mm rolled brass shell and striking satin black finish, this snare produces a bright, cutting sound with a metallic resonance that works for any genre. Its 3P butt plate, DW MAG throw-off system and True Pitch tension rods provide precise tuning and control over the drum's tone and sensitivity. Classic Brass Tone and Modern Style The 1 mm rolled brass shell gives this snare a warm, resonant tone with a hint of metallic brightness. Brass produces a wide range of overtones, allowing the drum to cut through mixes with clarity and projection. The satin black finish provides an attractive, contemporary look while allowing the shell's resonant qualities to shine through. This combination of classic brass construction and modern style results in a snare that is as versatile visually as it is tonally. Precision Tuning Components To maximize this snare's tonal potential, DW included high-performance tuning hardware like the DW MAG throw-off system, 3P butt plate and true pitch tension rods. The DW MAG throw-off provides quick, accurate snare wire adjustment to control sensitivity and overtones. The 3P butt plate offers three snare wire contact points for balanced tension across the wires. True Pitch tension rods enable precise, stable tuning so you can achieve your ideal brass tone every time. This tuning hardware gives you the control needed for any musical situation.
