Seamless Acrylic Shell Delivers Clarity and Projection At the heart of this Collector's Series snare is a seamless acrylic shell measuring 5 mm thick, with a 14" diameter and 6.5" depth. Its transparent construction creates a striking visual presentation while delivering the clear, projecting response that defines the drum's sonic character. A 60-degree bearing edge completes the shell design, providing a defined contact surface for the drumheads. The combination of acrylic construction and full-depth snare dimensions gives the instrument a commanding presence suited to a variety of musical settings. Whether incorporated into a live drum setup or used for studio recording, the seamless shell brings a distinctive tonal and visual identity to the Collector's Series lineup. Gold Hardware With Precision Snare Control DW equips this Collector's Series snare with gold hardware that complements the transparent acrylic shell while providing the functional appointments expected from a professional instrument. DW Turret lugs and TrueHoops form the foundation of the hardware configuration, while stainless steel TP50 tension rods support precise tuning adjustments. The MAG throw-off provides smooth engagement and adjustment of the snare mechanism, working alongside the 5P butt plate for additional snare tension options. Remo drumheads complete the setup, pairing established drumhead construction with DW's hardware system. Together, these components provide reliable control over tuning and snare response while reinforcing the drum's distinctive appearance. Transparent Styling Meets Collector's Series Craftsmanship The clear acrylic shell and contrasting gold hardware give this snare an unmistakable appearance, highlighting its seamless construction and the individual components that define its design. Beyond its visual appeal, the drum combines a projecting acrylic shell with DW's professional hardware, including TrueHoops, Turret lugs and the MAG throw-off system. Its 14x6.5" configuration offers a substantial snare format, while the 5P butt plate and TP50 tension rods provide additional control over the playing setup.
