Independent shopping perspective
The CS418 is a manual black belt-drive turntable with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge and a switchable MM phono preamp. Its statically balanced straight aluminum tonearm uses ball bearings, a damped lift, adjustable spring-loaded antiskating, and 0–4 g stylus-pressure adjustment. Select 33, 45, or 78 RPM electronically, then operate playback manually. The MDF plinth, elastomer feet, isolated DC motor, aluminum die-cast platter, rubber mat, and precision belt are designed to control resonance, vibration, and wow and flutter.
