5BS is small shank with a 6.87mm throat. 5AL is large shank, wider at 25.73mm cup with a 7.30mm throat and barrel backbore for symphonic projection.
03Is this good for jazz?
It works for small-bore jazz playing, with a solid high register and more body than a stock piece. The 12CS is Denis Wick's dedicated jazz model.
04How do I clean silver plating?
Wash with warm soapy water and a mouthpiece brush, then dry it. Avoid abrasive polish on the rim — it thins the plating over time.
