01How does the 2 differ from the 2B?
Same 17mm cup and 4.92mm rim. The 2B tightens the throat to 4.27mm and uses a V backbore for clarity up high. The 2 blows freer and rounder.
02Will this fit a trumpet?
No. It is a cornet mouthpiece with a cornet shank. A trumpet receiver takes a different taper, so you need a trumpet mouthpiece.
03Is the 2 too big for me?
If you already tire on a 4 or 5, yes — the wider cup and free blow use more air. It suits players with settled air support and embouchure.
04What about the 2BW instead?
The 2BW keeps the 17mm cup but widens the rim to 5.5mm and uses a V backbore with a 4.27mm throat. More comfort and clarity up high, less free blow.
