Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The Thoroughbred Select pairs a mahogany solidbody and quilted maple top with a 3-piece mahogany neck that runs through the body. Its satin neck finish, 24.75-inch scale and 22 jumbo frets on an ebony fingerboard define the playing platform. Seymour Duncan APH-1 Custom Zebra and TB-5 Custom Zebra pickups feed a three-way selector, separate volume controls and separate tone controls. A Tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece completes the fixed-bridge setup, while the transparent cherry burst quilt top and matching headstock provide the visual finish.
