The Dangerous COMPRESSOR was designed to be simple, transparent and powerful. Built to the exacting standards of the mastering community, as with all things Dangerous, it has also proven indispensable for tracking and mixing. Tame a vocal, tighten a snare, crush a sampled loop or gently smooth a track - the COMPRESSOR will rise to the occasion, providing rapid results, intuitive feedback and without coloration. One of the most unique features of the Dangerous COMPRESSOR is the multiple side-chaining features built into the unit. There's an active external sidechain send and return, which means there's no need to go to a patchbay to route signals as with most other compressors. There's also a sidechain monitor that lets you listen to what you're sending to the sidechain and hear exactly what the COMPRESSOR's detector is hearing. It also lets you monitor the included Sibilance Boost and Bass Cut features so you'll hear exactly what the detector is going to hear. The Dangerous COMPRESSOR is easy to operate, just use the front panel buttons and give a twist of the threshold control to achieve radio-ready results. The Smart Dyn Dual Slope Detection automatically limits peaks while stealthily compressing the average and the auto Attack/Release replaces "guess" with "yes" for rapid-fire results. The Dangerous COMPRESSOR has a clear, transparent sound that allows you to process your source material without any coloration. This is thanks to the COMPRESSOR's immaculate VCA with virtually no distortion, even with 20dB of gain reduction. There is also a True Stereo Dual Detector for left and right signals. This helps to eliminate the narrow stereo field that can be caused by most other dual-channel compressors summing their audio into mono and having a single detector controlling the summed signal.
