The D'Angelico Deluxe Bedford brings a refined approach to the modern offset electric guitar, combining sculpted playing comfort and expressive tremolo performance with the rich, articulate character of Seymour Duncan P90 pickups—without the traditional single-coil hum. Its contoured alder body features an ergonomic belly cut, arm bevel and extended lower bout for exceptional balance and comfort, while a three-piece maple/walnut/maple set-thru neck provides a smooth, responsive playing feel. A bound ebony fingerboard with a 14" radius and 22 medium-vintage frets supports precise, expressive playability across the familiar 24.75" scale. USA-made Seymour Duncan P90 Stack pickups deliver warm, punchy tone with hum-canceling performance, complemented by straightforward volume and tone controls. A Wilkinson six-point tremolo and Grover locking tuners provide expressive pitch control and dependable tuning, while a selection of distinctive finishes and signature D'Angelico appointments give the Bedford its refined, contemporary style. Contoured Alder Offset Body Combines Comfort and Balance The Deluxe Bedford features a solid alder body with a distinctive offset silhouette designed around ergonomic comfort and balanced performance. A deep belly contour and sculpted arm bevel provide a natural fit against the player, while the extended lower bout contributes to the instrument's balanced feel and resonant response. Its slim 1.625" body depth keeps the guitar comfortable and manageable during extended playing sessions, complementing the offset design's distinctive proportions. Alder provides a balanced tonal foundation with clear attack and definition, allowing the articulate character of the Seymour Duncan P90 Stacks to come through naturally. Available in satin Matte Walnut or gloss Desert Gold and Solid Black finishes, the Bedford features a five-ply F-hole-style pickguard and elegant hardware appointments that bring D'Angelico's signature design language to a contemporary solidbody platform. Set-Thru Maple Neck and Ebony Fingerboard Enhance Playability The Bedford's three-piece maple/walnut/maple neck features a set-thru joint that creates a smooth transition into the body, supporting comfortable access to the upper frets and a solid, resonant connection between neck and body. Its C-shaped profile and natural satin finish provide a comfortable, familiar feel, while the 24.75" scale offers responsive string tension for expressive bends and fluid fretting. The ebony fingerboard features a relatively flat 14" radius, providing a precise playing surface for intricate chord voicings, articulate rhythm work and effortless lead playing. Twenty-two medium-vintage nickel-silver frets offer a comfortable balance of control and traditional feel, complemented by three-ply binding and mother-of-pearl/abalone split-block inlays that reinforce the instrument's refined Deluxe Series character. Seymour Duncan P90 Stacks Deliver Articulate, Hum-Canceling Tone A pair of USA-made Seymour Duncan P90 Stack pickups gives the Deluxe Bedford the warmth, punch and expressive midrange character of traditional P90s with the added advantage of hum-canceling performance. Their stacked-coil design helps minimize the unwanted 60-cycle hum associated with conventional single-coils, preserving clarity and definition through clean amplification and higher-gain settings alike. The neck pickup offers a rounded, full-bodied response with rich lows and smooth articulation, while the bridge pickup brings snappy upper-midrange bite and a more focused attack. A three-way blade switch provides intuitive access to either pickup or both together, while master volume and tone controls keep sound shaping direct and uncomplicated. The result is a versatile, responsive voice that captures classic P90 character with modern noise reduction. Wilkinson Six-Point Tremolo Adds Expressive Pitch Control The Deluxe Bedford features a Wilkinson six-point tremolo that provides smooth, expressive pitch control, from subtle vibrato to more pronounced musical accents. Its traditional design offers a familiar playing response, while Grover 509 Super Rotomatic locking tuners support precise tuning adjustments, dependable stability and convenient string changes. A TUSQ nut promotes consistent string movement, complemented by nickel locking strap buttons for added security during performance. Ebony control knobs, a signature aluminum Skyscraper truss rod cover and D'Angelico's distinctive headstock appointments bring refined detail to the hardware package. Mother-of-pearl logo inlays and the signature Cupola headpin complete the presentation, while an included deluxe hardshell case provides protection during storage and transport. Modern Offset Expression With Signature D'Angelico Style Since its introduction in 2017, the Bedford has represented D'Angelico's distinctive approach to the modern offset electric guitar, bringing the brand's design heritage into a more contemporary solidbody format. The reimagined Deluxe Bedford builds on that foundation with a contoured alder body, comfortable set-thru neck and premium ebony fingerboard, delivering a responsive playing experience with exceptional balance and upper-fret access. Seymour Duncan P90 Stack pickups provide rich, articulate tone without the unwanted hum of traditional single-coils, while the Wilkinson tremolo adds expressive flexibility to the instrument's straightforward electronics. Finished with premium Grover hardware and understated Art Deco appointments, the Deluxe Bedford offers a compelling combination of individual style, versatile tone and refined playability.
