01Will this fit my metal tenor mouthpiece?
No. This is sized for hard rubber tenor mouthpieces, which are noticeably thicker. On a metal piece it will not clamp securely.
02Which way does it go on?
Screws face outward, away from the reed, with the reed seated flat on the mouthpiece table. Slide the ligature on before setting reed position.
03Will this change my sound?
Mostly it changes consistency. Holding the reed at fewer points frees more of it to vibrate, and repeatable clamping means your setup plays the same each session.
04Does it come with a mouthpiece cap?
No. This is the ligature by itself. If you need a cap that clears it, buy that separately and check clearance.
