01Will this fit a 3/4 cello?
No. This is cut for 4/4 scale length. A 3/4 cello needs a 3/4 string or the winding will sit in the wrong place at the peg and nut.
02How long does it take to settle in?
Steel-core strings stretch far less than synthetic. Expect it to hold pitch within a day of normal playing, with a few retunings on the first day.
03Do I need to replace all four strings at once?
Not for a break. But if the other three are over a year old, the new D will sound noticeably brighter and louder than its neighbors.
