Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built for a 4/4 cello with a 700 mm playing length, this heavy-gauge Kaplan C string is made to handle extreme bow pressure. It offers room to vary tonal color while retaining a powerful, warm sound. Choose it when the C-string position calls for the heavy option within the Kaplan range.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Full-size cello playing that uses strong bow pressure and calls for a heavy-gauge C string.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Cellos outside the specified 4/4 format and 700 mm playing length.
- Players seeking a C string in a tension other than heavy.
