Strong match

Who this is for

  • Linking adjacent pedals on a tightly packed pedalboard
  • Replacing a cable that crackles when you nudge the board
  • Building a board where long cables would coil up as slack

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Guitar-to-amp or guitar-to-board runs — far too short
  • Pedals spaced more than a few inches apart
  • Anyone needing right-angle plugs to clear a pedal's side jack

What matters in use

The specifications, translated

Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.

Detail 01

1 ft. length

Covers a gap of a few inches between pedals. Anything wider and the cable pulls at the jacks.

Detail 02

1/4" connectors

The standard instrument jack on pedals, amps and guitars. Not for XLR, TRS balanced or speaker use.

Detail 03

Patch cable

Built for short signal runs inside a board, not for stage-length distances where cable capacitance starts dulling high end.

Detail 04

Single cable

This is one cable. A board with five pedals needs four of these to chain them.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 01Count the gaps between your pedals — you need one cable per gap
  2. 02Check plug orientation against your pedals' jack positions before committing to a layout
  3. 03Measure the actual pedal-to-pedal distance; one foot can be too long on a dense board

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01How many do I need for my pedalboard?

One fewer than your pedal count. Four pedals in a chain need three patch cables, plus a longer cable in and a longer cable out.

02Can I use this between my guitar and amp?

No. One foot only spans a few inches of usable distance. Use a 10 to 20 foot instrument cable for that run.

03Will this work with a TRS stereo pedal jack?

This is a standard 1/4" instrument cable, wired mono. For stereo or balanced connections you need a TRS-specific patch cable.

04Is one foot too long between pedals?

On a tight board, sometimes. The extra length has to loop somewhere. Measure your gaps before buying a full set.
