Conn10DY Symphony Series Professional Double Horn - Lacquer

Designed for serious players who value projection, precision and vintage-inspired response, the Conn 10DY Symphony Series double horn with fixed bell brings classic Geyer-style performance into a modern build. Its all–yellow brass construction delivers a warm, colorful tone that blends naturally in sections yet carries clearly to the back of the hall. The direct-soldered Geyer-taper mouthpipe, paired with an unbraced design, enhances resonance and feedback, giving players quicker articulation and a more immediate feel under the hand. A Schmidt-style small-throat bell shapes a compact, focused sound favored by orchestral players, while CNC-machined components ensure consistent fit and smooth response. With string linkage, a reversible fourth rotor and ergonomic additions like an adjustable finger hook and water key, the 10DY balances tradition with playability for demanding schedules and refined musical environments. Geyer-Style Design With Focused Projection and Quick Response Experienced horn players will appreciate how the 10DY’s direct-soldered mouthpipe and small-throat bell improve clarity across dynamic ranges. The reversible fourth rotor allows switching between F/Bb and Bb/F setups, supporting advanced literature and extended techniques with less resistance and cleaner transitions. The fixed bell maintains tonal focus and stability, while the all-brass build blends well in orchestras, wind ensembles and chamber groups. These design decisions reward nuanced phrasing, endurance and confident projection during long rehearsals and performance days. From its carefully machined receiver to its orchestra-ready bell geometry, the Conn 10DY Symphony Series double horn delivers responsive feel, elegant tonal presence and long-term reliability for advancing students and professional players alike.
