Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Finished in Sangria Burst, this Pro-Mod Plus San Dimas combines a gloss alder body and quilt maple veneer top with a caramelized maple bolt-on neck. The ebony fingerboard carries 22 jumbo frets, rolled edges, and Luminlay side dots. Seymour Duncan's JB TB-4 at the bridge and '59 SH-1N at the neck work through a five-position blade switch for multiple pickup settings. The Floyd Rose 1500 Series double-locking tremolo makes it a focused choice for a player whose parts use both humbucker voicings and pronounced vibrato effects. A Charvel multi-fit gig bag is included.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Set lists that alternate between clean passages, high-gain sounds, and tremolo-led lead parts.
- Players moving from lower-position chords to upper-register bends during a song.
- Low-light stage work where Luminlay side dots are useful.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players.
- Players who prefer a guitar without a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo.
