Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The black/black Habanero is a three-ply S/S/S pickguard assembly made for a streamlined Strat-style electronics change. Habanero Serrano single-coils use Alnico III magnets and are voiced with warmer, fuller tones alongside chimey highs; positions 2 and 4 retain the familiar quack character described for this layout. The pre-wired assembly brings together custom linear-taper controls, an Orange Drop capacitor, Gavitt cloth-jacketed wire, a Pure Tone PTT1 jack, and a five-way switch, so the working parts arrive as one coordinated unit.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Installing a complete S/S/S pickup and control assembly on an 8-hole or 11-hole Strat-style guitar.
- Players who use positions 2 and 4 and want their characteristic quack available from the five-way switch.
