Questions shoppers ask first

How much power do I need?+

Rough guide: 300–500W total for a coffee shop, 1,000W+ for a full band in a 100–200 person room. Headroom sounds cleaner than maxed-out small boxes.

Powered or passive speakers?+

Powered, unless you already own amps. Built-in amplification is matched, protected, and means fewer failure points.

When do I need a subwoofer?+

When there's a kick drum or bass guitar in the mix, or DJ playback. Vocal-and-acoustic acts usually don't.
