01Which cymbal goes on top?
The thinner one. The heavier vented cymbal is the bottom. Reversing them kills the chick and dulls the response.
02Are 14-inch hats right for me, or should I get 13 or 15?
14 is the default for most styles. Go 13 for faster, tighter response, 15 for more volume and a wider open sound.
03Do these work for jazz?
They can, but the A Series is bright and cutting. For a darker, softer chick most jazz players look at darker lines.
