No. Flugelhorn receivers take a flugelhorn shank, which is a different taper. A trumpet mouthpiece will not seat properly and will play badly.
02Is a flugelhorn hard to play if I already play trumpet?
Fingerings and transposition are identical. The differences are feel and air: the conical bore wants more air and rewards a relaxed, less pinched approach.
