YamahaRevstar RS20MM Matteo Mancuso Signature Electric Guitar - Vintage Sunburst

Matteo Mancuso’s pick-free approach to jazz, fusion and rock calls for an electric guitar that responds clearly to nuanced right-hand dynamics. The Yamaha Revstar RS20MM Matteo Mancuso signature electric guitar recreates the aesthetic and playing feel of his custom Revstar in a production model developed in close collaboration with the Italian guitarist. A Vintage Sunburst flamed maple top, all-gold hardware and a chambered mahogany body establish its visual identity, while DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary pickups, 5-way switching and a passive Focus Switch provide uncommon flexibility. Activated from the push/pull tone control, the Focus Switch emulates overwound pickups with darker highs and enhanced mids and lows, giving this two-humbucker Revstar a more aggressive tonal option without active electronics. Chambered Revstar Body With Stable Neck Construction Yamaha’s Acoustic Design process shapes the chambered mahogany body to enhance resonance while reducing weight. A flamed maple top adds figured depth beneath the Vintage Sunburst finish, while set-in construction joins the body and neck as part of the guitar’s core design. The 3-piece mahogany neck includes carbon reinforcement for added strength and stability, and its satin polyurethane finish supports smooth movement across the playing surface. A 24.75" scale length, rosewood fingerboard, 12" radius and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets give the guitar a controlled feel for fast position shifts, wide chord voicings and fluid single-note lines. DiMarzio PAF Pickups Expand the Revstar Voice DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary neck and bridge pickups give the RS20MM a vintage-inspired humbucker foundation with long sustain and highly expressive pick response. Based on vintage PAF specifications, the pickups use softer magnetic pull to let the strings vibrate more freely. The 5-position lever switch expands the guitar beyond a standard two-humbucker layout, with positions 2 and 4 introducing subtle phase-shifted sounds by slightly delaying the opposite pickup. Pulling up the Focus Switch adds darker highs and enhanced mids and lows, giving players a thicker alternate voice for more aggressive fusion, rock and lead tones. Performance Hardware Supports Fast, Stable Playing The RS20MM keeps its control layout focused around master volume, master tone, 5-way switching and the push/pull Focus Switch, giving players meaningful range without crowding the top with extra controls. A Tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece and locking tuners complete the performance platform with reliable tuning stability for regular stage, studio and practice use. This straightforward layout keeps pickup selection and tonal changes close at hand while preserving the uncluttered feel of the Revstar design. Signature Details Define the Custom Revstar Look All-gold hardware, a 3-ply cream pickguard and the Vintage Sunburst flamed maple top give the RS20MM a refined appearance that reflects Mancuso’s custom Revstar. His signature appears on the truss-rod cover, while his logo inlay at the 12th fret identifies the model without overwhelming the design. Elixir Nanoweb Light .010-.046 strings arrive installed, and a deluxe gig bag, owner’s manual and two hex wrenches are included. The result is a signature Revstar that feels personal to Mancuso while remaining a clean, stage-ready Yamaha design. Matteo Mancuso’s Revstar for Versatile Electric Playing The RS20MM combines the elements that define Matteo Mancuso’s signature model: a chambered body, carbon-reinforced neck, DiMarzio PAF pickups, expanded 5-way switching and the passive Focus Switch. Its construction and controls support players who move between detailed clean work, driven lead tones and varied pickup textures without requiring active circuitry or a complicated interface. For jazz, fusion and rock players seeking a responsive two-humbucker electric guitar with a distinctive visual identity, the Yamaha Revstar RS20MM Matteo Mancuso signature electric guitar delivers the Italian guitarist’s production-ready Revstar design.
