YamahaA-Series AC5R Cutaway Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar Vintage Natural
Product overview
About this model
Yamaha's Japanese Handmade Concert Cutaway Rosewood Back and Sides Acoustic Electric Guitar is a premium acoustic-electric that delivers powerful, balanced tone with a touch of vintage character. Handmade in Japan using select tonewoods and high-quality components, this concert-sized guitar is designed to gratify advanced players. Torrefied Solid Sitka Spruce Top Provides Vintage Warmth At the heart of this guitar's full, articulate tone is a solid Sitka spruce top treated using Yamaha's torrefaction technology. This high-heat process removes moisture and volatiles from the wood, resulting in a top with greater stability and an aged, vintage hue. The torrefied spruce top produces warm, balanced tone across the tonal spectrum, from ringing highs to full lows. Rosewood Back and Sides Enhance Low-Mid Ranges Solid rosewood is prized for use in acoustic guitars due to its ability to produce warm, rounded tone with clear, bell-like highs. The rosewood back and sides of this guitar enhance the low-mid ranges, providing a robust voice that complements the torrefied spruce top. Together, these premium tonewoods achieve a powerful yet balanced acoustic voice with vintage character. SRT2 Pickup System Delivers Natural Plugged-In Tone Yamaha's innovative SRT2 pickup system gives this guitar a natural, dynamic plugged-in tone perfect for performance and recording. With blend control, you can balance the output from the under-bridge piezo pickup with modeled sounds of vintage Neumann and Royer microphones, creating your own unique tone with authentic clarity. The SRT2 system provides volume, treble and bass controls with feedback reduction for versatile amplified performance. Premium Build and Playability As expected of a handmade Japanese guitar, premium build quality and playability are hallmarks of this instrument. The comfortable neck profile, ebony fingerboard and hand-rolled fingerboard edges provide a played-in feel ideal for intricate techniques and open tunings. Simple yet distinctive styling, including wood binding and an organic pickguard design, complements the vintage tone and premium construction.
