Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a dreadnought cutaway body, the D7SCE covers unplugged playing and amplified sets in one instrument. Its Barcus-Berry EQ4T preamp puts volume, bass, treble, phase control, and tuning at the guitar, so adjustments can happen without leaving the playing position. The cutaway opens access to the upper frets, while the satin mahogany neck and ovangkol fingerboard provide the playing surface.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Acoustic sets that move between unplugged songs and amplified performance.
- Players who want onboard tuning and basic EQ controls during a set.
- Parts that call for access to the guitar's upper frets.
