Warm Audio’s WA-2A is a 2RU tube optical compressor based on the Teletronix LA-2A leveling-amplifier design. Its fully discrete, all-tube signal path uses four vacuum tubes, no integrated circuits, and custom CineMag input and output transformers. A Kenetek optical cell handles gain reduction, while Peak Reduction moves from gentle leveling toward more aggressive compression. Output Gain lets you match the bypassed level for A/B checks.
