01Is 3 too hard for a school student?
It's a common step-up strength for players with a few months of experience. If your sound collapses or your lips tire fast, drop to 2.5.
02Will these fit my tenor sax?
No. Baritone reeds are cut wider and longer than tenor reeds and won't seal properly on a tenor mouthpiece.
03How many reeds should I keep in rotation?
Three or four. Rotating lets each dry fully between sessions, which keeps them playing consistently for longer.
04Why do some reeds in the box play better?
Cane is a natural material with natural variation in density and cut. Two or three strong reeds per box is typical.
