Yes. A body swab does not clear the neck's bend, so moisture sits in the crook and works into the cork and tenon over time.
02How often should I use it?
Every time you finish playing, before the horn goes back in the case. Moisture left overnight is what causes the damage.
03Will it fit a tenor neck?
It is sized for alto. A tenor neck is larger, so the fit will be loose and it will not clear moisture as well.
04Can I wash it?
Yes, and you should. Swabs collect what they pull out of the horn, and a dirty swab just redistributes it.
