Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
With its officially licensed Texas Rangers graphic, this Taylor GS Mini offers a scaled-down Grand Symphony body for music around the couch, at a tailgate or in a jam with friends. The 23.5-inch scale length is designed to ease chord formation. A solid torrefied Sitka spruce top and layered sapele back and sides deliver the cited broad dynamic range and crisp articulation. The layered wood construction is less susceptible to temperature and humidity changes. It is a right-handed six-string and includes a Taylor structured gig bag.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Taking a Texas Rangers graphic acoustic to tailgates and informal sessions with friends.
- Players who value a shorter scale length for forming chords.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this is a right-handed model.
- Players who specifically want a cutaway body; this model has none.
